I just saw the memorial service video and it was so wonderful, Uncle Charlie would have loved it. I cried, and I laughed at the stories that people shared on how he has touched their lives in his own way. I just heard about this site on the video and thought I'd drop by and share what I remember about Uncle Charlie. Uncle Charlie was a very funny man and sometimes odd sense of humor, when growing up I remember I wasn't sure how to take him, was he serious or joking, and later I realized that mostly he loved to be funny. I don't ever remember seeing him without a smile which is a great thing! He always seemed happy and enjoying life. The last time I actually got to see Uncle Charlie was when they came for a visit to my moms house (Mary Flater)I say they because Uncle Charlie and Aunt Linda were always together what a great couple. Aunt Linda was just starting to try communicate again and needed a lot of help but I was amazed at Uncle Charlies love and patience and tenderness with Aunt Linda and I thought what a Lucky woman Aunt Linda is to have found such a wonderful man who truly does love her for better or worse, in sickness and health, for as long as they both shall live right....well, he most certainly did that didn't he! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as Uncle Charlie was a great man and I'm sure he will be there to greet us when it is our time...maybe even with some joke about how the white light was so bright I should have brought my shades:) Love, Cindy and family
